TL;DR

Kitten & Chrome is the Red Light District’s harder adult store, a step beyond the regular mall fitting. Hot neon cursive sign, leather polish and sweet perfume, display cases of collars, cuffs, and tiny chrome things. The clerk, Veronica, works the counter in a black latex halter. The store’s headline product is the flat-cage tier-3 chastity device, and behind a velvet curtain is a second, hidden hub: Madame Mira’s Kennel.

Getting in

The store unlocks once the player is deep enough into submission: Submissiveness 30, or the Owner-route intensity that drives the harder content. Entry is from the Red Light District.

What it sells

The shop overlay (#ui:shop_fetish) carries the hard inventory. The signature piece:

Flat Cage ($200), a tier-3 chastity device. “Total containment, medical-grade, nothing visible through clothes.” A pink disc no bigger than a bottle cap with a thin catheter. The clerk gates this behind a first conversation (see below); it doesn’t appear in the catalog until you’ve asked about it.

The fetish catalog also stocks the bondage and restraint gear that the Kennel sessions build toward, the Posture Collar, a Karada Harness, Suspension Harness, rope sets, cuffs, a ball gag, and a pink latex dress. The kitten and puppy gear worn in Mira’s sessions (ears, collars, tail-plugs) is fitted in-scene by Mira herself and is not a catalog purchase.

The Flat Cage

This is the store’s distinct mechanic and the reason it exists separately from the regular mall cage fitting.

Step 1, Ask about "the tiny ones"

On a return visit, you can nod toward the glass case at the back and ask. Veronica explains the flat cages: total containment, nothing visible through clothes, “not for beginners.” She checks whether you’re already caged.

If you’re already in chastity: “Ah. Good. The flat is a different experience. The catheter takes getting used to.”
If you’re not: “Start smaller first. Come back when you’ve worn something for a week or two.”

Either way, this conversation unlocks the flat cage in the catalog and nudges Femininity and Submissiveness up slightly.

Step 2, The fitting

Buying the flat cage triggers a private fitting. Veronica slides a velvet pouch across and points you to the curtained fitting room: a stool, a mirror, a folded towel. You seal the disc yourself. When you look down there’s nothing, not a bulge, not a line.

The fitting locks the cage on (wearing_chastity), records that you own it, and pushes Shame, Submissiveness, and Femininity. Veronica clocks the silhouette, or the absence of one, and nods: “Welcome to flat, kitten.” On the Owner route this self-purchase also registers with your keeper.

The Kitten & Chrome restock (0.2.8)

The 0.2.8 “Kitten & Chrome” restock fills out the shelves. About a dozen new fetish pieces arrive on the racks, and most are available on your very first visit rather than locked behind the Kennel progression. The whole restock is free.

Shelf gear

The new shelf stock is mostly cosmetic, latex wear and restraint accessories that buff Allure (and sometimes Submissiveness or Femininity) at the cost of Comfort:

Latex wear, Latex Opera Gloves ($45), Latex Stockings ($60), Fishnet Bodysuit ($70), PVC Mini Skirt ($60), and a full Latex Hood ($90).

These are catalog purchases through the same #ui:shop_fetish overlay. Unlike the Kennel-gated bondage gear, most of the restock has no progression lock, so the store reads full the first time you walk in.

The kitten tail (NPCs notice)

The Kitten Tail Plug ($75) is more than a cosmetic. It is a Back-slot plug with a long fluffy tail that sways when you walk, and equipping it sets a real wearing_tail flag that NPCs react to:

The Master clocks it the first time you turn to shut the apartment door (“Look at you. Didn’t even have to ask.”), a one-shot praise beat, with a small chance of a quieter repeat glance on later tailed visits.
Vivienne at the Lounge catches on it at reception (“Oh, I do like a guest who arrives already in costume.”), a one-shot acknowledgement.
Strangers in public get a low-chance “is that a tail?” bystander beat on the street, gated on the tail being worn while you read as visibly feminine.

Each reaction is gated on the actual wearing_tail flag (not on a stat that usually correlates) and nudges Submissiveness up a little. Wearing the tail to its first noticing also earns the Kitten Tail achievement.

The pink chastity belt

The Pink Chastity Belt ($130) is a lockable Front-slot device: pink steel across the hips, a smooth front shield, and one small lock at the base of your spine, just past where your fingers comfortably reach. Buying it triggers a fitting (the Purchased_ChastityBelt knot): you step behind the curtain, draw the waist band snug, and press the lock closed (“The click is small and very final.”). Veronica’s parting line: “Try not to lose the key.”

The belt shares the Front slot with cages and sets wearing_chastity, so it resolves the same _chastity image variant. Internally it is tracked as a belt rather than a cage (chastity_form), so it sits alongside the cage tiers without confusing the Master’s downsize chain.

Set bonuses

The restock adds two new outfit set bonuses (worn together, the pieces grant extra stats):

Pet Play (Allure +3, Submissiveness +1), wear the Studded Leather Collar, the Chrome Leash, and the Kitten Tail Plug together.
Latex Doll (Allure +4, Femininity +1, Comfort -1), wear the existing Latex Dress with the new Latex Opera Gloves and Latex Stockings.

Wear-training the hard pieces (0.2.9)

As of 0.2.9 the store’s harder Comfort-penalty gear stops stinging permanently, but not through its own training. Five pieces, platform heels, thigh-high boots, leather ankle cuffs, the Kitten Tail Plug and the Pink Chastity Belt, read the tolerance counter of the family you’ve already trained: heels and boots inherit your trained Training Heels, the ankle cuffs inherit your trained Wrist Cuffs, the kitten tail plug inherits your trained Small plug, and the belt eases passively with the days you’ve spent caged (settling around 7 days, easing fully around 21). There is no separate session for any of them, master the parent family in the apartment and the fetish variant is already comfortable. Full mechanic in Comfort Training.

Veronica, the front clerk

Veronica greets you at the counter (#char:fetish_clerk). Black latex halter, practiced-but-warm sales patter, “First time? Take your time. Ask me anything.” She’s the one who introduces and fits the flat cage. She is not Madame Mira, Veronica works the front, Mira runs the back room.

The Kennel (behind the curtain)

Once you’re submissive enough and own a cage, a new choice appears: ask about the door behind the curtain. That’s not a shop, that’s Madame Mira’s.

Entry conditions

The curtain opens only when:

Submissiveness is 40 or higher, and
You own a cage (any tier).

Players who don’t meet the gate see the choice spelled out but disabled: “Need Submissiveness 40 and a cage from this store first.” The door isn’t a total mystery, but it stays shut until you qualify.

What's back there

Mira locks the shop door, introduces herself, and runs a three-question calibration: how restraint sits with you, which headspace you want (kitten / puppy / neither, “just the rope”), and your hard line. She sets a safeword (a yellow choice in every scene, “no consequence with me”) and the rule that you only meet in the back room, never on the shop floor.

From there the Kennel is its own hub with three tracks, each multi-stage:

Kitten, cushion, ears, bell collar, and tail, building to a recital performance.
Puppy, pup mask, heart-tag collar, leash drills, building to a leashed walk.
Bondage, wrist tie, karada body harness, hogtie, suspension, and mummification.

Every track runs in both an Owner-route framing (Mira defers to your absent keeper, with SMS follow-up) and an independent framing (Mira asks for verbal consent at each escalation). After the first introduction, the curtain choice on the storefront re-enters the Kennel directly, no second conversation needed.

Free content

The whole store, including the Kennel back room, is free. The flat cage shipped free from the start, and the Kennel arc, which was Patreon-gated when it launched, became free in a later patch. No part of Kitten & Chrome is behind the Patreon wall today.
