TL;DR
Tyler is the standard introduction to the GrindrR dating cycle. Free content, three stages, the cleanest “first date” experience the system offers.
He’s a competitive swimmer — broad shoulders, chlorine-bleached hair, jock-confident in the locker room and weirdly awkward at the coffee table. He’ll fumble his cup, notice your hands, then ask you out for somewhere “more private”. Honest, a little embarrassed by his own want.
The three stages
Stage 1. Coffee shop, campus.
Dating_Tyler_1. First match, awkward first conversation. He talks about morning practices and the pressure to perform. Reaches across the table to touch your wrist. Two response branches: Flirt (Stage 2 unlocks fast) or Keep casual (Stage 2 delayed).
Stage 2. Somewhere more private.
The second date. He brings you to his place. Tender, nervous, eager. First-time femboy intimate scene if you flirted at Stage 1.
Stage 3. Regular.
Recurring date partner. He’s invested now. Texts during the week, asks about your day. The dynamic settles into something steady.
Gym Body Coach Arc (Patreon, v0.2.9)
This is a separate arc from Tyler’s GrindrR dating, and the two never touch. You do not need to have matched or dated him on the app. Discovery happens at the gym hub: once Femininity hits 15, a choice “Ask Tyler about body coaching” appears (tyler_coach_unlocked). It is gated behind Patreon (v029_content_enabled && is_patreon()).
Tyler runs private booty-and-waist sculpting sessions, parallel to Malik’s trainer arc but with neither one touching the other’s progression. Each “Body training with Tyler” session costs $15 and 15 Energy, and he measures you every visit, reading the numbers back to you as they move.
Booty and waist tiers
Sessions feed booty_progress and waist_progress, which roll up into booty_tier and waist_tier (each 0 to 3). The tiers cross at 6, 14, and 24 points, so the full arc runs roughly 12 sessions to max both. Each tier crossing fires a milestone beat and a journal card, and the visible result feeds back into the character panel.
The professional veneer slips
Early on Tyler is all-business, or his nervous impression of it (glutes, waist, “the stuff the machines won’t give you”). Over the weeks his coaching gets steadily less professional. The arc escalates through tyler_coach_stage (0 to 4) as his hands linger and the measuring tape becomes an excuse.
Stage 4: after-hours payoff (replayable)
The terminal escalation is an after-hours scene once the gym has closed (tyler_coach_consummated). After you’ve seen it once, a “Stay after closing with Tyler, $15” choice unlocks at the hub for a replayable variant. There is a caged variant for runs in chastity.
Tips
Profile photo matters at the match
Tyler’s first line — “you look different from your pics. Better, I mean.” — implies your GrindrR profile photo is what hooked him. The match itself doesn’t need anything special; he’s not picky on Fem.
Tyler doesn't conflict with other dating NPCs
You can run multiple GrindrR dating arcs in parallel. The game doesn’t model jealousy between dating NPCs. Tyler at Stage 3 doesn’t care if you’re also seeing Kai or Owen.
