TL;DR

Rachel is the office’s social glue. You meet her in the lunch break shuffle at office_stage = 1. She’s curious about you in a friendly way — not gossiping, not judging. Her arc plays out across recurring lunches where she gradually becomes the person who knows what’s happening with you without you having to spell it out.

How to meet her

OfficeEvent_LunchBreak_Rachel fires from the office hub once you’re past the interview. Each subsequent lunch can be solo (_LunchBreak_Alone) or with Rachel — the picker is influenced by rachel_relationship and your office_stage. The more you lunch with her, the closer the arc gets.

The arc

Stage 0 → 1. Curious coworker.

First few lunches. Light conversation. She asks about your weekend, doesn’t push.

Stage 1 → 2. She notices.

She sees the nails. The hair. The fact that you ordered something different. “You look good. Different. I like it.” No follow-up question.

Stage 2 → 3. Confidant.

She’s the person you can talk to. The arc isn’t romantic by default — it’s a workplace friendship that becomes genuinely supportive.

Dating Rachel (masc route, v0.2.8)

Once you are hired at the office (office_hired), Rachel surfaces in the GrindrR swipe pool as a free profile. The arc is written for the Masculine Route: you are the top and the active partner, she is an enthusiastic equal. The dates never feminize you (no Femininity gain, a small Submissiveness loss on beats where you lead), and every stage head turns the date down warmly if you show up caged or dressed femme (Dating_Rachel_Decline, no stats or stage change).

Three stages, tracked by dating_rachel (unmet, met, intimate, sustaining):

Coffee after work (15 Energy, 1 TimeSlot). The “you survived another Monday” date.
Her place (25 Energy, 2 TimeSlots). The arc turns intimate.
“Same time, handsome?” (25 Energy, 2 TimeSlots). Repeatable sustaining stage.

No Femininity requirement on any stage. The office friendship tracker (rachel_relationship) and the dating tracker run independently, so lunching with her still works on any route.

Tips

Romance is masc-route flavored, friendship is universal
