TL;DR

  1. Switch BNWO on under Content Preferences (character creator, or Settings while playing).
  2. Make sure you are not on the Masculine Route.
  3. Go to Downtown → The campus. The tile is there the moment the preference is on.
  4. Sit through the open lecture, and on the way out put your name on the sign-up sheet.
  5. Your phone buzzes with an intake appointment. Go back the next day and sign in for it.

That’s the whole unlock. No stat gate, no day gate, no supporter status.

Step 1: turn the track on

The arc does not exist in your game until you ask for it. It is an opt-in content track, off by default for every player, and there is no in-game hint that it is there.

You can flip it in two places:

  • Character creator, on the Content Preferences step when starting a new game.
  • Settings, from the pause menu, mid-run. You do not need to restart.

The same toggle is the exit. Switch BNWO off at any point and the campus tile, its hub choices and its texts all disappear from the run. There is no per-scene safeword on this track by design, that toggle is it.

Since 0.3.1 the whole arc is free. It was Patreon content in 0.3. Turning the preference on opens it regardless of supporter status.

Step 2: check you are not on the Masculine Route

This is the one thing that silently stops everything. If your run is on the Masculine Route, the campus tile never appears, the recommendation never shows up on your computer, and the fallback text never sends. The two tracks are mutually exclusive by design and nothing tells you so in-game.

If you have the preference on and no campus tile in Downtown, this is almost always why.

Step 3: the campus

Open Downtown and look for The campus. It is a normal map tile and it is available immediately once the preference is on, with no discovery step, no Submissiveness requirement and no day requirement.

Visiting before you have signed up plays the open lecture beat. A sandwich board by the doors reads OPEN LECTURE SERIES: POWER, STRUCTURE, DESIRE, and you can take a seat near the back. The lecturer is a lean bald man with a sharp goatee who talks about hierarchy the way an engineer talks about load-bearing walls.

You can attend this lecture as often as you like without committing to anything.

Step 4: the clipboard

On the way out of the lecture there is a clipboard by the doors: PAID STUDY: SUBMISSION & DECISION-MAKING. PARTICIPANTS WANTED.

Putting your name on the sign-up sheet is what actually starts the arc. Your phone buzzes with an intake appointment before you are off the campus steps. Slipping out before the end instead leaves everything exactly where it was, and the lecture will still be there next time.

Come back and choose Sign in for your intake session at the campus hub, and you are at stage 1.

The optional first push

There is a second, softer door that most players meet first without recognising it.

At the home computer’s porn hub, the algorithm will slip a BBC clip into your recommendations while the arc is still unstarted. Watching it plants a seed and unlocks a repeatable Recommended For You tab that keeps arguing its case. Closing the interstitial is a real refusal: the game only re-offers it a couple of times (three at most, and never twice in as many days) and then stops asking.

This is not required and it does not unlock the campus, the tile is already there from the preference alone. What it does is change the lecture: carrying the seed forks the prose, and the hour starts to feel less like a coincidence than a diagnosis. It is the intended emotional on-ramp rather than a mechanical one.

The fallback text

If you never touch the computer and never walk onto the campus, a cold recruitment SMS eventually arrives as a safety net. It needs Submissiveness 40+, Day 10 or later, and that you have not already signed up.

It exists so the arc cannot be permanently missed, not as the intended route. The clipboard is the front door.

Pacing once you are in

  • One beat per day. Once you have had your session, the hub is done until tomorrow.
  • Rest days between phases. After each escalation the professor schedules your next phase a couple of days out. The hub choice greys out with “He has already scheduled your next phase. Not today.” That is the arc breathing, not a bug.
  • Within a stage there is a devotion meter that fills over several visits: a lighter opening beat, quieter routine beats, then the beat that moves you up.

On daily play the terminal Kept ending lands somewhere around Day 28 to 30.

Troubleshooting

Symptom Cause
No campus tile in Downtown Preference off, or you are on the Masculine Route
Tile is there, but no lecture You already signed up; use the campus hub choice instead
“He has already scheduled your next phase” Rest day between phases, wait a day or two
Nothing happens on a second visit today One beat per day, come back tomorrow
No recommendation on the computer Already seeded, already past stage 0, or the three offers are used up
