Content note

This is the game’s most intense content track: an enforced-ownership storyline built on Black-male-dominance (BNWO) fetish themes, deliberately written with no soft-pedaling. It is off by default for every player and only exists if you switch the BNWO track on under Content Preferences (in the character creator or in Settings). There is no per-scene safeword by design; the always-available exit is the same toggle you used to turn it on. Flip it off and the campus, its hub choices, and its texts all disappear from your run.

As of 0.3.1 the whole arc is free (it was Patreon in 0.3). Turning the preference on opens the campus regardless of supporter status.

How to unlock it

Full walkthrough with troubleshooting: Starting Bnwo. The short version:

  1. Switch the BNWO track on under Content Preferences, in the character creator or in Settings mid-run. It is off by default and nothing in-game hints that it exists.
  2. Check you are not on the Masculine Route. The two are mutually exclusive, and on the masculine route the campus tile simply never appears. This is the most common reason the arc seems missing when the preference is on.
  3. Go to Downtown → The campus. The tile is available the moment the preference is on: no discovery step, no Submissiveness requirement, no day requirement, and since 0.3.1 no supporter requirement either.
  4. Sit in on the open lecture, then sign the clipboard by the doors on your way out. That signature is what actually starts the arc.
  5. Come back and sign in for your intake session, which puts you at stage 1.

The porn-sidebar clip and the recruitment text below are both optional on-ramps, not requirements. The clipboard is the front door.

How it begins now (0.3.1 rework)

The old version dropped a cold recruitment text into your inbox. The reworked arc makes the descent your own:

  • A clip in your porn sidebar. At the home computer’s porn hub, the algorithm slips a BBC clip into your recommendations. Watching it plants a seed (bnwo_seed) and unlocks a repeatable “Recommended” tab that keeps arguing its case; closing it is a genuine refusal, and it only re-offers a couple of times.
  • An open lecture on campus. The University runs an open public lecture series (a sandwich board by the doors reads POWER, STRUCTURE, DESIRE). You can sit in at the back, and the lecturer, a lean bald man with a sharp goatee, talks about hierarchy the way an engineer talks about load-bearing walls. If you carry the porn seed, the prose forks: the lecture starts to feel less like a coincidence than a diagnosis.
  • The sign-up sheet. By the doors on the way out is a clipboard: PAID STUDY: SUBMISSION & DECISION-MAKING. Putting your name down is what actually starts the arc (it sets university_discovered); your phone buzzes with an intake appointment before you’re off the campus steps.

A cold recruitment SMS still exists, but only as a late fallback for players who never touch the computer or the campus (it re-gates to higher Submissiveness and a later day). The intended door is your own curiosity.

The cover story

The front is a legitimate-looking paid behavioral study, forty dollars a session to answer questions about how you make decisions. At intake a coordinator slides you a consent packet “thick as a paperback”; you sign it blind, there for the cash. That blind signature is an in-fiction device only (the fine print becomes the lever Darius leans on later); your real consent is the out-of-fiction opt-in toggle. The BNWO nature of the study is hidden at first and surfaces gradually, the mask starts slipping at Training.

The stages

bnwo_stage runs 0 through 6. You get one beat per in-game day, and each stage takes several visits (a lighter first beat, quieter routine beats in the middle, then a beat that advances you). After each escalation the professor schedules a rest day, the next phase can’t begin until a couple of days pass, so the descent breathes rather than sprinting. On daily play the Kept ending lands somewhere around Day 28-30.

Stage Name What it is
0 to 1 Introduction Intake, the blind-signed consent, meeting the professor. The innocuous front.
1 to 2 Commitment Questionnaires that bend toward obedience, then a “physiological baseline” where your pulse answers his touch on the monitor.
2 to 3 Training The lab, the blackboard, a conditioning loop, and the first explicit session. The mask comes off.
3 to 4 Service Field assignments: a guest in the office, a practical seminar where you are the demonstration.
4 to 5 Ownership An exclusivity addendum, an anklet fastened on so the others know who you belong to, and the first time it’s him alone.
5 to 6 Kept (terminal) A room in Participant Housing with your name in the log, and the second signature.

The walk-away (0.3.1)

After the first explicit session (stage 3), the next time you head to campus you stop at the edge where the paving changes, and your feet won’t take the next step. This is a real choice: [Turn around] genuinely pauses the arc, no devotion lost, no penalty, and it stays paused until your own click brings you back. While you’re away, the Recommended tab at home keeps pulling. When you do return, Darius doesn’t gloat so much as quantify it (“The data never doubted the direction, boy. Only the date”). The point of the beat is that nobody ever makes you cross, and that’s exactly what unsettles the character.

The Kept ending

The terminal beat brings you to the empty seminar hall at night. Darius sets down the consent packet from your first day and turns it to the last page, the one you never read, and has you kneel and read it aloud in your own voice: permanent participant status, housed on-site, and the plain word set in ink, kept.

  • Sign your name again and stage 6 opens: the live-in Kept life, a dorm key, the anklet, and a rotation of repeatable devotion scenes.
  • Set the pen down and it’s a genuine refusal, you stay at stage 5 and the beat waits to be re-offered (“The page does not expire, boy”).

Smaller turning points along the way are choices too, swallowing before you’re told to, and whether you take the stipend envelope off the nightstand or leave it (which the Kept transition remembers).
